How to Add SpongeV2 ($SPONGEV2) to MetaMask

Adding Custom Tokens to MetaMask

MetaMask is a powerful wallet, but it doesn't automatically display all ERC-20 tokens. To see your SpongeV2 tokens, you'll need to manually add the token's contract address. This guide will walk you through the simple process.

Step 1: Open MetaMask and Select the Right Network

First, open your MetaMask wallet extension or mobile app. Ensure you are on the Ethereum Mainnet, as SpongeV2 is an ERC-20 token. This is the network where you'll be able to add SpongeV2 to MetaMask.

Step 2: Navigate to the 'Import Tokens' Menu

At the bottom of your asset list in MetaMask, you'll see a link that says "Import tokens". Click on this to begin the process.

Step 3: Enter the SpongeV2 Contract Address

In the "Custom Token" tab, you'll need to paste the official SpongeV2 contract address into the 'Token Contract Address' field. For security, always get the contract address from the official SpongeV2 website or a trusted source like CoinGecko.

  • SpongeV2 Contract Address: [Paste the official address here once available]

Once you paste the address, MetaMask should automatically fill in the 'Token Symbol' (SPONGEV2) and 'Token Decimal' fields. If it doesn't, you can enter them manually. Click "Add Custom Token" to proceed.

Step 4: Confirm and View Your Tokens

MetaMask will now show you a confirmation screen with your SPONGEV2 balance. Click "Import Tokens" to finalize the process. You will now see your SpongeV2 tokens listed alongside your other assets in your MetaMask wallet. Congratulations, you've successfully learned how to add SpongeV2 to MetaMask!
